On Leviathan
Sep. 11th, 2012 10:44 pmNot buying it. Because I am not paying $10 for an explanation of something that should have been in the original game.
Really, I am more and more getting the feeling that the Indoctrination Theorists weren't wrong about the actual ending not being in the original game. At least, the explanation for the ending. I feeling that, with Leviathan, we are finding out that the reasons for the Reapers, etc, were always going to be added later. The "Speculation for Everyone" line actually meant they could milk that speculation for more DLC.
Which means absolutely nothing for the game.
I could sort of understand it with the Arrival. That was an important, game-changing piece of story. Yet we are at the end of Shepard's tale, and DLC that comes before the end just feels superfluous. Really. We know how it ends. How the hell could DLC change our perception of the game the way Arrival, or Lair of the Shadow Broker did? And it sure doesn't sound as much fun as Kasumi, or free-but-cool like Zaeed. Overlord was cool in a creepy fun house of horrors kind of way. It didn't change our perception of the game, but man did it give us a lot interesting and dramatic moments. It enhanced, even if it wasn't completely necessary.
Tits on a hanar, people. Tits on a hanar.
